Embark on an unforgettable 3-day classic safari to the world-renowned Masai Mara, starting with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 7:00am. Travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley en route to the Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at the luxurious Ilkeliani Camp.
Day 1:
Masai Mara
After settling in, enjoy your first afternoon game drive in one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. Spot the Big Five; lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo, alongside other incredible wildlife like zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and over 450 bird species including ostriches, storks, and vultures. Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2:
Witness The Great Migration
On Day 2, spend the full day exploring the vast plains of Masai Mara. With a packed picnic lunch, your professional guide will help you search for more wildlife encounters, including large herds of antelope, giraffes, crocodiles, and jackals. If traveling between July and September, you may witness the spectacular Great Migration as thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross from the Serengeti into the Mara. After a thrilling day, return to Ilkeliani Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3:
Departure
Day 3 begins with an early morning game drive for a final chance to spot predators on the hunt. After a hearty breakfast at camp, begin your journey back to Nairobi with a lunch stop at Seasons Hotel in Narok. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at the airport for your outbound flight or transferred to your hotel, bringing your short but impactful safari adventure to an end.
